Su Mander prides herself on her highly professional and friendly approach with clients, as well as her ability to provide practical legal advice with a view to achieving her clients’ commercial goals.
Having read Jurisprudence at Oxford University and undertaken her Articles in a Central London law firm, Su Mander qualified as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales in 2002. Su’s early practice in London centred around contentious property work, where she specialised in Leasehold Valuation Tribunal matters. Su’s practice later progressed to focus on large-scale commercial real estate matters which led to her specialising in the fields of commercial development and construction. Notably, Su’s former clients include MEPC Limited, one of Britain’s leading, award-winning real estate developers focused on sustainability, whose portfolio includes several large premium mixed-use business parks – Milton Park and Silverstone Park.
After relocating to the Cayman Islands Su was admitted to the Cayman Islands Bar in 2016. Su previously practised as an Attorney within the Legal department of Cayman’s leading developer, Dart Real Estate, where she worked on various key multi-million dollar development and infrastructure projects including the expansion of the Cayman International School campus and the new 60,000 square foot flagship Foster’s supermarket in Camana Bay. In addition to handling all aspects of commercial leasing matters across the Dart Real Estate portfolio, Su has extensive experience in high-value acquisitions and construction financing projects, including several luxury hotels along Cayman’s famous Seven Mile Beach. Su also undertakes high-value residential conveyancing and development work.
Su is passionate about education and life-long learning and is a long-standing volunteer-organiser of several of Cayman’s annual inter-school literacy competitions and events.
